Dog vaccinations
- Rabies – considered core and required by law; 1- or 3-year vaccine
- DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus) – considered core; 1- or 3-year vaccine
- Bordetella (“kennel cough”) – noncore, but recommended for dogs who board often, visit dog parks or are otherwise around other dogs; 6-month or 1-year vaccine
- Leptospirosis – noncore, but recommended for dogs who are frequently outdoors;1-year vaccine
- Lyme disease – noncore, but recommend for dogs who frequently hike in tick-infested areas; 1-year vaccine
- Canine influenza – noncore, but recommended for social dogs and those that are boarded
Cat vaccinations
- Rabies – considered core and required by law; 1- or 3-year vaccine
- FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) – considered core; 1- or 3-year vaccine
- Feline leukemia – noncore, but recommended for outdoor cats; 1-year vaccine
